Exhibitor Rules and Regulations and Code of Conduct

Southeast Home Inspector Conference has a mission to provide the best possible environment for all exhibitors to display, demonstrate and sell their products. In order to achieve these goals, Southeast Home Inspector Conference asks all participants to adhere to the Code of Conduct and Rules and Regulations. Exhibitors agree to inform and enforce this policy to all of their employees, partners, booth personnel and invited guests. Any infringement of the Rules and Regulations and/or Code of Conduct should be immediately reported to the conference management. Southeast Home Inspector Conference reserves the right to amend the Rules and Regulations and Code of Conduct with reasonable guidelines without notice.

Southeast Home Inspector Conference and ASHI Georgia will not be able to endorse any product nor be responsible for equipment exhibited during the Southeast Home Inspector Conference function. Exhibitor agrees to set up and vacate booth at the appointed times. Any controversies that may arise among the exhibitors, conference officials, host facility management or their agents shall be referred to Southeast Home Inspector Conference representatives for resolution whose decision will be final and binding.

Unprofessional Conduct: Tampering with another exhibitor's booth or equipment will not be tolerated. Interfering with clients while they are in a competitor’s booth will not be tolerated. The offender will be immediately removed from the exhibit floor at the exhibitor's own expense and will be restricted from future participation.

Booth Appearance: All booths, regardless of size, must have display material, signs, etc. professionally produced. Any display deemed unprofessional in appearance at the discretion of conference management will not be permitted. All booths must conform to size and height regulations, contract conditions, and meet local fire codes. Exhibitors will be liable for any damage caused directly or indirectly by their staff, equipment, supplies, vendors, subcontractors, or guests.

Demonstrations and Booth Activities: Exhibitors wishing to include demonstrations, presentations, drawings, or crowd gathering activities of any type must confine such activities within their specific booth space. Booth sound volume shall not exceed 80 decibels and lighting will be set at a level that does not interfere with the operation of neighboring booths. Booth activities, costumes, or presentations that are undignified, tasteless, racist, or sexist are prohibited. Exhibitors violating these rules will be given a single official warning. If the violation continues, severe and appropriate action will be taken. Conference management has the sole and complete authority in the interpretation of this policy.

Food and Beverages: Exhibitors are permitted to offer non-alcoholic, canned and/or bottled beverages on the exhibit floor. Food (except small wrapped candies) may not be distributed from exhibitors' booths on the show floor. Conference management reserves the right to confiscate unauthorized food on the exhibit floor. Candies may have to be approved by the Gwinnett Center catering vendor.

Handouts Literature/Promotional Material/Personnel Recruiting: May only be distributed within the confines of the contracted booth space.

Only Sponsored event materials will be allowed on the food court tables during the sponsored event time. These materials will be distributed by conference committee members. Conference management will discard material placed elsewhere. Canvassing in the exhibit halls; distributing any material by non-exhibiting companies is strictly prohibited. Personnel recruiting in any form is not permitted unless pre-approved by conference management.

Photography: Taking of photographs or recording within the exhibit area is prohibited without the permission of the company being recorded. The official conference photographer is exempt from this rule. Offenders will have their film/recordings confiscated.

Exhibitor Code of Conduct

Southeast Home Inspector Conference considers any and all demonstrations and presentations that occur in the public areas of a booth to be open to any show attendee. If an attendee is from a competing company they are expected to abide by the following code of conduct:

1. Do not interfere with any public demonstration or presentation.
2. Limit questions to one or two or ask questions afterwards.
3. Do not ask questions that are embarrassing, disruptive, or of a sensitive nature.
4. Do not engage in inappropriate, disruptive, or unprofessional behavior.
5. Do not stand in the front of a demonstration or presentation in order to block the view or interaction of others.
6. Leave if the booth or demonstration/presentation area becomes crowded.

Reports/Complaints of the Rules and Regulations and Code of Conduct violations should be reported to the conference staff personnel so they can handled the problem in quite an professional manner.
